Rolly sound on bottom end

Recommended Posts

I started tearing down my bottom end because a clutch plate broke. However before it broke the bottom end had a rolly sound. Is this just the main bearings or is it the crank bearing as well? I have not got it apart because I need some special tools. I can't feel any up and down movement on the crank and the sound is there when I turn it over by hand. I was trying to order everything at the same time to save on shipping.

The sound "if" its a bearing would most likely be the crank bearings. 2 in the case holding the crank, most likely the one on shifter side. Make sure you do both bearings and seals. I would take the topend off before I ordered parts for inspection as well.
