So me and my 03 RM hit a 3 foot rock at 60mph *pics*

Recommended Posts

Well, went riding yesterday. did 50 laps at the track and stopped. (first lap i crashed. i did a Christ air off the downhill, 12 o'clock and landed on my rear tire, fell off the back and the bike flipped end over end.)

i dented my pipe 👍 and put a hole in it. guess it hit a frame bolt and punched through. anyways, after my 50 laps where done, my buddi comes over and goes "YOU GOTTAH COME SEE THIS"

here he comes 5th gear pinned on his crf250r, power wheeling over the crests and it looked awesome. so i gave it a try. came up 5th gear pinned. over this hill

this is the corner i was going to fast to make.

and here is the rock/mound i hit. i didn't even have time to put the brakes on. was going way too fast. i hit so hard i broke my handle bar mounts, bounced off my handle bars, hit my head landed back into the road, my helmet strap broke, helmet flew off, bike flipped into the air and landed back next to me. the two people watching thought i pretty done. i asked one what he thought he said "i was thinking how id explain to your mum, yeah your son is dead"

the camera used has a bad aspect ratio. i am 5"8 and standing in the ditch, that mound/rock is neck high.

other than being super sore, needing a new helmet, needing new handle bars and mounts, everything is okay. full gear is wonderful. would have been dead without it.

any pics of the bike?

and very glad to hear you are ok. i'm sure aside from the helmet and handlebars, a new pair of shorts is probably in order as well.......

I admire your bravery although going that fast under those conditions normally does not end well. Good to hear that you walked away!, somewhat shaken I imagine but still intact!

Got any bike pic's?

Bike is fine, just needs bars and bar mounts. and a rear tire. BAD.

that tire was new this year, i live near alot of rocks. wet rocks and slippage killed the tire.

i have never done a burnout with this bike.

last time i did a burnout i was 16 and had a ttr

no clutch lever in those pics, and i said "i broke my handle bar mounts"

turns out i broke one of the bolts going through the mounts, and bent the other.

that peg was bent when i got it, kid raced it once, flipped it and got scarred. now i own it.

Glad you're still here to post. Doesn't look like a track to me. It's not closed course. It's a powerline ROW. You need to expect the odd hazard there like that. Suggest to slow down on non-tracks.

I see a stubby clutch lever too. 👍

yup! i see the lever now too. broke but still alive.

no no, track is right next to it. i did 50 laps on the track then hit the service road.

see the lines? this is takken from the downhill jump, that service road is the the right. 217779_1705228996521_1411891511_31458583_6899549_n.jpg
