2006 KX450F Question

Recommended Posts

This bike has ALWAYS started 1st or 2nd kick and been meticulously maintained. The other day myself and a few friends were at one of the local tracks and I had the worst time getting it to fire up. Finally, after about 10-15 minutes she fired and purred like a kitten. Didn't run sluggish, didn't smoke.... Nothing! The next day the same problem. So I decided to do the normal maintenance on the bike.... Spark plug, air filter, oil change and filter change. Once again, the same problem occurred. This may be a very stupid question to some but I've gotta get her back to normal. Any help, input or insight would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks!

Hey, dont take the plug out often. They last for ages on these engines, and the main issue is dirt falling in when you take the plug out.

adjust valve clearance

Or maybe you just kick a bike over like an old man 👍
