Rings / piston / or both ???

Burning a decent amount of oil in an 08 with little use on it. Runs great, but burns alittle oil.

Air filter is fine. Bike is completely stock.

Jetting may help......i wonder .

If it is just a little oil I wouldn't worry about it. Wait until the valves are due and do it all at that time.

If you are really dying to get into it then rings should do; however OEM parts are cheap enough a piston wouldn't hurt. They do run good when fresh.

Don't wait, do a top end. If you have over 150 hours on the motor you need rings. 250 you need piston. and of course, you need valves when they leak.

...but the only thing that matters is spec. You HAVE to mic the dimensions of the bore, piston, rings, etc to know what you need.
