2011 Baja 1000 Starting Order

Recommended Posts

It's getting to be about that time!

Notable entry in class 22 is Bryce Stavron running solo. Go get 'em dude!

Looks like Trent Burgiss is also running solo (4X) He finished second two years ago in the sportsman class (solo). Go Trent !!

I think 5x got replaced by 0x and 3x got replaced by 1x. That is a bummer if you guys got your entry in and did not get included in the draw.

That almost makes sense, except 1x is 2nd bike and 0x is 4th bike?!? ...just wondering if it was some other kinda thing? Even if 1x is 3rd or 5th off the line, or whatever I thought they normally would still have a 5x, or 3x I thought? No biggie, just curious if there was some other reason.

No entry yet, and still no Team consensus on even running yet, so at this point we just missed it!

Heck, for all I know I might be looking for another Team!

...anyone need/want another rider?!?! With my potentially 'old team' I was 2nd in Class 22 points!?!?

When they factored in 14 riders and 15 possible numbers (including 0)

The first draw is a throw away, ghost draw. No one gets it and no one number is taken.

Then the drawing starts:

Ghost Draw

Bowman gets the first slot 2x (second number)

Norman drew third or 3x- Scratch 3x because Norman is 1x

Trent Burgiss drew 4th. He is 4x

Colton Udall drew 5th. Scratch 5x for 0x.

I think this is how it went down.

Sidenote: a heavy statistical analysis by data and math specialists at UCLA should do a complete and thorough monte carlo analysis of every single SCORE drawing for 10 years to see if there are any interesting patterns to conclude how random the process is.

You got it! You Must know craig? Great guy

Yep, I lived in Longview for year or so and met Craig and Doc. Craig also did my Yammy 426 suspension. Hope to meet up with him when he is down for the BK1.

If anyone wants to follow Trent Burgiss 4X (Class 22 SOLO), we'll be tracking his pre-running and his actual race coordinates live with a Spot Tracker at http://trentsbaja1000.blogspot.com/ We're digging the Spot Tracker so far. Best of luck to all riders this year. The course has a few new sections which are apparently "brutal and relentless".

Easy

Stop at first chance, Let Kendall by and follow them home.

He will have the bird in the sky clearing the way for both of them.

This is going to be epic...:busted:

BUT, I might not have internet all day on Friday/Saturday.

... we need a text back service, where you enter a code and get top 10 riders or something texted back to you.

SCOTTY... you listening?? It'd be a sweet thing for us away from the WWW.

Great advice...

Yet, might get him hurt trying to "keep up". Once you lose sight of 1X bike, all that "safety margin" goes out the door. I predict loss of sight in ... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, poof, gone!

I was thinking before they even got out of the wash, but not sure score is even gonna use the wash. But its pretty cool to see a guy that fast pass you, even if you only get to watch 5 seconds of it!
