KYB Shock - How to release nitrogen?

I have a 2012 KX450F (KYB suspension). I am going to change the shock oil but don't know how to release the nitrogen from the bladder? ? Do I need a special needle valve or something?

I've only ever worked on shocks that have a schrader valve on the bottom of the bladder.

By the way, we have a replacement cap that has a valve built into it. The valve is recessed. We also use these on the YZs and WRs to keep the heat from the exhaust away from the shock.

There is a small hole in the center of the cap.

You have to insert a needle to let the pressure of and refill it after servicing.

Is it like the WP needle for KTM's?

Or a special KYB tool, because I have never seen this before (only worked on CRF showa)

Should I rather buy an aftermarket bladder cap with a schrader valve?

yes like the setup ktms use on the forks

Even if you buy the new cap you will need to release the pressure. You can use a hypo needle to release (not fill) pressure if you don't have a proper one.

How do I order one of these. I have a 2010 kx450f. Defiently need this.
