Fed up!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Am totally at my end with my bike, just don't seem to be able to solve problem!!!

I have a 2001 kx250, it won't start or run properly I think it's a fuel problem but can't crack it, the only way can get it started is by spraying ethanol quick start stuff into the carb and then that gets it running, will then re start regular way when has started the first time. Is really smokey when running and then have to hold throttle open to keep it running.....if let got of throttle dies!

I have tried adjusting the idle screw but doesn't seem to make any difference in running, doesn't seem to increase or decrease engine sound at all.

This all started because I adjusted the jets to try and get it running have put the jets back to standard sizes as per the manual.....any ideas, otherwise am dragging the bike outside and torching it!!!!!!

Try posting in the 2-stroke forum.

Have you checked the reeds? Changed spark plug? Adjusted the air screw? Don´t tighten the jets too hard or they will deform and cause problems.

Is the air filter clean?
