Valve Job

Recommended Posts

Is this something I can do myself?

I have a spring compressor and I'm assuming that seats generally don't need to be cut. Just replace the valves, springs, cotters, and seals?

appreciate the info, but I am well versed in re-shimming.

I need an actual valve job.

I wold say you have to look at the seats to know if they need to be refaced. If you "need" a valve job, I would assume so.

Well, the man has spoken. Just sent you an email Eddie and I guess the head is coming out to you next week.

I don't think porting does anything when it's only got a 440, FCR, cams, and exhaust.

Think you need bigger valves and a stroker to do any good

So valve grinding compound and lapping in the valves is a thing of the past?

Any engine will benefit from head flowing, whatever the state of tune....

RHC187 Cams, +1mm valves are also needed for improving the head flow on a stroker..
