KX250 Project complete (for now)

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Just took the bike for its maiden break-in around the house and WOW this thing is nice! Power feels like a rubber band (can’t wait to see if it has a snap like one after it’s broken in) almost electric. Quite a difference from my ’99. Here’s some KX porn for ya…

It almost is... It's a complete ground up restro. From a basket case I bought a few months ago. Engine been completely gone through with new bearings and seals, new cylinder, piston, rings, clutch.. Well new everything! Oh, and lets not speak of how much I sunk into it.

Loks great! Ya, you cant compare the older models. Whats holding your shrouds on?

Thats the nut and bolt kit I bought on E-bay. It came with drilled out alum. washers.. Looks cool! Factory even!

You did a great job on that. What is the nicest part of the whole thing is it's not over done. Clean and neat.

You have a two-stroke mower??

Is there no clamp at all on either end of the hose? I think I see one at the carb.

Briggs and Stratton baby! 4t elcheapo engine that runs with any old gas I can find..

I actually go out of my way to find 2 stroke lawn equipment. Right now I only have 2 chainsaws, weed wacker and my back pack leaf blower are all smokers. I run old bike premix to remind me of riding when I'm doing yard work. :busted:

I use my premix (Klotz R50) in my 4stroke mower and log splitter, smells pretty good too.
