Recommended Posts

For those of you that have used z-sprockets and IRONMAN what are the pluses and minuses of each and what would you buy next and why?

Thank You!

I bought an Ironman before the fall season. So far it's been fine, but the real test will be in the spring with some mud. It came with a warranty card, but I forgot to send it in.

That z-sprocket looks fugly to me. I also don't like the "self cleaning" bit. Seems like just another place for mud to get in rather than escape.

I'll probably stick with Ironman. It's pricey, but if it outlasts 2 Al sprockets (which it will) I come out ahead. Plus, they are local and most out here are happy with them.

I have a Works-Z, and it does seem to keep everything poked out of the chain. Know for sure soon, as it's starting the fall rainy season here.

Made out of stainless I understand, so should last even longer than a normal steel sprocket.

How it looks is a total non issue for me. I couldn't care less about it's appearance, just it's longevity.
