I need case saver options (Drive Chain)

Recommended Posts

Could you all provide some options (manufacturers etc) for installing some aftermarket case savers. In this case I am referring to the drive chain case saver, the small curved piece residing directly in front of the countersprocket.

I have found a MFGR ouit of Australia (B&B Offroad) (http://www.bboffroad.com.au/drz_400.htm)

Are there others?

How do you account for the inevitable changes in sprocket size? 13, 14, 15. I will never need a 16 tooth.

I am looking for something with more meat on it than using the small thin stock piece

Thanks, MC

The stock piece is your best bet. The point of the Case guard, is to keep the chain on the sprocket so it does no ball up in front the the sprocket and gets spit cleanly out if it breaks. Suzuki E guard is made for 14 teeth. The S/SM guard is made for 15. Unless something has changed, only the 15 is available as a replacement from Suzuki. If you want a close fitting 13 or 16, you have to make it.
