Asterisk braces - rotation - tether attachment?

Recommended Posts

Hey folks -

I just bought some Asterisk Cell knee braces. I didint bargain for this "tether attachment" . Is this something that has to be done- or is it optional? Is it worth drillin holes in boots / cutting pants etc.?

Thanks for the help,

BM

I never used the tether on mine actually I know about 6 people with them and none use the tether. I was told the tether would greatly increase effectiveness with regard to side to side motion of the knee.

it dont really help much, i have used it and its not that big of a gain (if any) you can use it without drilling your boot . just unscrew your boots top buckle and put it under there,

I would return those Astericks if I was you, they are garbage. Just watched this video and the flex joint is a torn acl waiting to happen. I can't believe they sell those things.

Either find a better made off the shelf brace, or better yet, get your doctor to prescribe you a proper custom fit brace like one of the Cti's.
