2011 TE 449 - rebuild after 70 hours

Recommended Posts

Read on another site, states that Husky recommends an engine rebuild (piston, bottom end, etc.) after 70 hours? Doesn't sound like much time, less than a year of riding for me. Is this worst case scenario or racing, or just in general?

With the deals on 2011's right now, it's tempting, but that short time between rebuilds is a little scary.

Is that under the racing guidelines?

I'd think easily twice that for the trail riders.

If the bike is getting it's guts wringed out on the highway or in the desert at 65mph or higher sustained speeds, then servicing the crank at 70-100hours is highly adviseable. If you're pleasure trail riding the bike it'll go 200 hours or more easily with oil changes every 5-8 hours.
