Tightening flywheel

I've never had a problem hitting it with the impact. Just crank the air pressure down or put the gun on a low setting

If you go the rope route, just make sure it doesn't go into one of the ports, can damage the piston or rings depending on the style of piston. I trust the rope method much more than using an impact. Had a buddy figure there wasn't any harm in using an impact, and he stripped all of the threads off of the crank. He's not much of a mechanic, so he probably had it on full blast, but I still prefer using a torque wrench on all critical nuts especially on the crank.

we got it tightened thanks guys. me and my buddy rigged something up to hold it, similar to the tool you need. made it outta hose clamps

Think we're thinking about different tools

Torque wrench, and a holding tool...........These bikes were made to be torqed for a reason!!!!
