WINGS Ti/Carbon silencers for the Husky 630.

Recommended Posts

I have the WINGS Ti slip on silencers with carbon fiber end caps on my TE 630. These pipes are a hand made piece of art. The fit and finish is excellent. They are titanium with carbon and are very light. I did not have a scale to put them on but both sides together feels lighter then one stock can. Titanium is new to me. I was not aware how cool it runs. I could put my hand on the pipe after 20 miles of 60-65mph riding. This will be real nice for mounting some bags on the rear of the bike. Heat wont be an issue now. They came with two different sizes of db-killers, that have spark arrestor screens for the US and Canadian silencers. Running them with out a spark arrestor is not allowed off road here, but I did try it on the street. Running them open they sound real nice. Nice thump but as with any open pipe they would be to loud for my ears while putting on the miles. The small db-killers are rated at 80 db, that is the same as stamped on the stock exhaust. The larger db-killers are rated at 83 db I tried the two different size db-killer/spark arrestors and will be leaving the larger ones installed as they flow the best and are surprisingly quiet. The bike runs so smooth and my butt dyno tells me it pulls harder and revs quicker then stock. My air box is opened up, bike is p/u, stock ecu with all three CO's at 100%. I am very happy with the WINGS pipes on my 630. They deserve a look by other 630 owners wanting to upgraded their exhaust and shed some weight. They run great and sure do look nice. http://www.wings.si/ver3/index.html?page=about_us

Looks nice. I've never heard of these guys before, but I like the aerospace design concept.

These pipes are awesome! I have always liked the twin Husky exhaust since the 1983 510 4T. WINGS hit the sweet spot in the sound with the large db-killers. I got compliments from a die hard Honda rider today on how good they look. I really like that the pipe hangers are metal and not carbon fiber like some other brands offerings. I can't imaging CF being long lived as a pipe hanger for what the 630 can do offroad.
