Rear Wheel Spacers

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else have issues with the rear wheel spacers getting grooves in them? I've seen it on 3 bikes now and wonder if it's a common thing?

Yup, pretty common because they're aluminum. Grit collects at the seal/spacer and eventually wears a groove into the aluminum. There are aftermarket spacers that have steel sleeves Over the aluminum body of the spacer for just this reason. I believe Moose, and MSR make sleeved spacers...just to name a couple.
