bit of an FYI, OEM piston faliure/tolerance issue

g''day gent's, just thought i would share a bit of an issue i had recently with my 09 450, i replaced the piston with an OEM 09 item, after which i had problems with the compression ring getting seized in the piston and incredibly high wear rates on the piston itself, turned out the new OEM piston was .07mm bigger the spec at the skirt resulting in much to tight piston/bore clearance, casuing the piston to overheat and lock the ring, lucky it didnt seize.

make sure you cheack the piston/bore clearnace everytime, even with OEM parts :busted:
