Keihin PD question

Recommended Posts

I just cleaned the carb on my XR500R. When re-assembling it I have an issue with a needle valve. It is located on the lower front of the carb body and controls flow air/fuel? into the venturi just before the reed cluster. The problem is: it seems to need some kind of retainer or binding mechanism to hold it's position. Unless it is screwed tight, it will eventually vibrate out. I don't think I missed anything when taking it apart. What gives?
