Spring Rate Recommendation

Recommended Posts

I am just getting back into Trials after being away (racing Hare Scrambles) for about 5 years. I just picked up a used 2011 Beta EVO 250 2-Stroke, I used to ride Sportsman, and was attempting to ride Advanced when I stopped riding. I weigh about 220lbs, and need a recommendation on what spring rates I should get for my bike. With the stock springs, it's sitting so low the suspension bottoms very easily and feels "dead". I don't want to over-spring it, but I know I need stiffer springs.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Hi, I just bought the exact same bike about 5 weeks ago. I weigh 210 lbs. I went to 8.0 rear spring and .88 front spring per Beta's recommendation. I like the set up. Your dealer can order these springs from Beta. The forks springs are new and aren't on the website yet, but they have them. BTW there's only one fork spring.

Let me know what you end up doing...

Thanks!

I have an 8.0 rear spring on the way. My distributor said he can't get the .88 front spring anymore, so he ordered a .90. I can't wait to try it out!
