new cam chain keeps sliipping

Just fitted a new cam chain and tensioner and it keeps slipping. When I rrotate back wheel with cover of chain starts tight dipps then loose then tight.

what type of tensioner ?

how loose does it go ?

might want to stop at look at things again before you break a valve.

STOP TURNING THE MOTOR OVER…..

Not clear what your describing. It simply does not make sense.

. What cam chain tenshioner are you using? MCCT? ACCT? if ACCT? what model? Does it have a hex head cap with spring underneath it? Or a small hole for the flat blade screw driver in the back?.

With the TDC timing mark centered in the sight window,, are the cams timed? (If you think the cam timing is Off.. DO NOT rotate the motor, remove both cams.. put crank at TDC, and reinstall the cams)
