'99 RM125 Fork Oil ?

Recommended Posts

I just picked up a '99 RM125 with leaky fork seals. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the owner's manual and I'm trying to determine the oil volume for the inner and outer chambers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

late 90's and early 2000's were really confusing years, because Suzuki used Showa and KYB, 47 and 49mm Showas, USD and RSU forks...

at home I have listed 290cc for the outer chamber. inner chamber is no exact amount, about 200cc and then bleed it.

if no one knows exactly, tomorrow I'll have a look at my excel sheet...

Thanks. These forks are 49mm Showas which were used on the '99-'00 RM's.

yes, I know. but the tech-care numbers are very weird.

99 RM250 they say 205cc and 2000 RM125 they say 375cc

They are different internals. You didn't mention your weight or type of riding but 275ccs should get you in the ballpark for your 1999 RM125.

Thanks. I'm setting it up for a 135lb beginner. I found a shop manual locally so I should be in good shape.
