Recommended Posts

Well.. it's not official, but Italian offroad web magazine XoffRoad is reporting that it's pretty much a done deal:

Ricky Dietrich near all Husqvarna!

Will the World Enduro

Another big hit for the Italian home market

It's not official yet, but seems to be made. Ricky Dietrich, one of the best riders and charismatic circus Enduro U.S., next year could compete in the World Enduro riding a Husqvarna. Dietrich is a very versatile rider, as he gets the big Enduro is traditional, both in indoor, without disdaining even Motocross, which has proven to be easily able to finish among the top ten in the National Championship. This could really be a big blow for the home market and Italian Fabrizio Azzalin, manager of the team, always looking for new talent and new challenges. If the sample could reach the U.S. were to be deployed in the E1 class, side by side with newly arrived Lorenzo Santolini and Matti Seistola, while Alex Salvini and Juha Salminen could defend the colors of Husqvarna TE 310 with E2 in the saddle. We'll see.

Interesting. If he signs with Husky that's a big US name for them with a big fan base. Lot's of Dietrich fans out here. He also likes to "dabble" in motocross and he's pretty damn good at it too. Wonder if he would take the Husky to a few Nationals just for fun?

Dabble nothing, he rips. Raced first 9 rounds this year, some great moto's a couple 4ths and a podium 3rd! 14th overall without running the final 3 rounds. I suggested him as a good value a year ago, as he is fast offroad and moto and could cross-promote. Big fanbase like you said.:busted: I'm sure he'd want to hit a few nationals if the bike were legal.

Great news hope it happens.

I just hope Husky NA is working together with Italy to give Ricky support at home too. When Nate Kanney raced WEC for CH Racing in '07, he got injured and needed to come home to rehab until the US and Canada rounds. It was towards the end of Cagiva USA, there was no US race team and little support. He had a WR250 practice bike and little else. The "Orange" guys he rode with at home, worked on him relentlessly. There were many money problems with Cagiva Italy at the time, but if Cagiva USA could have supplied the "Seamless" support KTM does, it would have turned out better.

A good opportunity, for HVA, to have some US guys for EWC, a good image and a way to focus US attention to this Championship. 1st rounds in South America are planned for '12.

Focus American attention on the WEC championship? Are you crazy... American are only focused on themselves!

It's going to take a lot more to get American to focus on WEC.

The United States and Canada hosted the WEC series two years in a row... None of the American teams (KTM. Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha or Kawaski) would allow their riders to attend.

Why? The excuse was the teams were focused on (American series... GNCC, WORCS, National Enduro) and it wasn't in the budget.

Some team riders wanted to do it on their own... and were told NO by their team mangers.

You can read it anyway you want, but the American dirt bike media only promotes what's American and what happens right here in the "Good Old United States".

Me? I love World Enduro and want more of it!

BlipBlip/Husqvarna:thumbsup:

Next year team ch:

E1 Seistola

Santolino

E2 Salvini

Salminen

? Dietrich

So, no one with 2 strokes and with new 449/511!

In 2012 husqvarna probably will have a second supported team with Roni Nikander and Romain Dumontier.

My guess is someone is going to be riding something like one of these by the end of the 2012 WEC season:

Just a thought.

I heard next year will be some news about new 250-300 2 strokes and some news about the 450-500

First day of test for Dietrich with Alex Salvini!

I suppose he will ride at Enduro Indoor in Genova

Yes that's the word I'm hearing too... I believe Dietrich had a chance to see both the new 2-stroke and 4-stokes mules and that helped with him with his decision to sign with Husqvarna!

Anyway.... it's all good stuff!?
