Recommended Posts

Not sure on the little bikes, but with big bikes is about 100-105 mm... Or roughly 1/3 of total travel... Thats in gear, sittin on the bike :busted:

Yep. Most linkage bikes like 1/3 sag of total travel. Actual travel, not claimed, but the YZ lineup is pretty darn close.

Can only get 88mm of rsag on one of his bike and 85 on the other... thats with all the preload taken off the spring....he only weights 72lbs so im guessing the stock spring is too stiff for him.... any suggestion?

88mm is awfully close. You should have about 90mm on that bike (roughly 1/3 of the travel.)

If the seat height is the issue, you should cut the foam down; don't try to solve it with suspension adjustments.

was thinking about putting some rocks in his pocket!, he's a beginner so i want the suspension to be set up to make the bike as easy to handle as possible.
