Oily exhaust on a 2 stroker

Recommended Posts

At one point my bike had the clap and dripped a bit out the pipe. Now that its rectified, i was wondering if theres a need/ way to clean out the expansion chamber or if it will eventually just burn off. Its an aftermarket pipe, fmf fatty if it makes a difference. Thanks for the help.

just ride!

At some point (1 year or more) you might notice some carbon buildup inside the header portion. That can be heated with a torch and easily scraped out.

Use about 2 cups of gasoline, plug the ends and swish it around in the fatty for about 5 mins. It will get 90% of the carbon out. Then just dump the gas in the push mower so you dont waste it. Then repack the silencer and your good to go! I only do this once a season.

What ftball90 said if you want to clean out your pipe.

I would also repack the silencer. It needs done periodically, and it may be saturated with oil.
