All,

If I want to tune my carb, what jets and needles do i need for this bike?

Your thoughts on the JD kit?

Your thoughts on the Powernow Plus mod?

i have the same bike and year and since i bought the bike about a year ago the jetting has never been perfect. i recently bought the jdjetting kit for it and it turned it into a completely different bike. Its faster and so easy to start now. the best thing about the kit is that it tells you what to use for different altitude and weather. all you have to do is follow the chart.

hope this helps you.

THanks Abro.

My PB2 is on it's way :-)

Did you also acquire the rd fuel flex jet? Do you think this item is worth getting?

I did not use the flex jet. The Power Bowl seemed to do the trick.

Another thing I did was wire the accelerator pump linkage together. The "O ring" kept wearing out and stretching which made for poor performance.

Thanks guys.

Interesting that you wired the AC Pump instead of O-ring. Are you able to post pictures? I have read up on the 'O-Ring' mod, and I am curious to learn how you made sure the wire would not come off, as opposed to the rubber O-ring which would seem to have more grip.

And, did you replace your rubber diaphragm to JDKH18 - long stroke with shorter center stem?:
