Forget all the raise the forks up in the clamps and less sag on the 250x and just got to ebay and get you a good deal on 20mm triple clamps. You will not believe how good it will turn, better than most 2 strokes, very stable and makes it even fill liter. I have had many bikes even a 04 crf450 i put 20mm triple clamps on and they work great. I also have a cr250 with 20's on it. I got the whole setup top, bottom, steam bearing, bar clamps and cable guide for $250. I bought the protapers for a 08 crf250r. You will not be able to mount the head light and need a front number plate for a 08 crf250r. If you need the light then think about before you buy some triple clamps, i don't ride at night so i didn't need it.

i went down hard, my bike washed out to. so any 20mm clamp set will work for our bike or what? rebuilding forks now bought new rim . top triple was loose but still. what does the 20mm clamps do differently then stock? thanks
