Anybody ever use these valves

Have any of you folks ever used the APE brand valves from Big Bore Thumpers? They are stainless valves and you can get valves, springs, and retainers for $200. Seems really cheap compared to kibble white or OEM. I know the company has a really good reputation though. Any thoughts?

great valves. no issue with them. I would seriously consider the ready to run head.

Yeah I looked into it, but my head is in good shape. Just gonna do valves as a preventive maintenance kind of thing.?

The reason our components are so "reasonable" is you are buying them directly from the manufacturer.

A lot of the top cylinder head shops are also using them. They are having the same results as blackie107 and their customers are loving it.

Ape, when I buy your valves, do I have to have my old seats cut? Or can I just lap the new ones in???

That depends on the condition the seats are in. Most likl;y you will have to have them remachined.

When the oem Ti valve starts to fail and gets a groove in the 45, it will deform the seat if it is run like that.

I inspected my seats and there were no blemishes what so ever. I assembled the head with the new Apes and filled the dome with PB blaster and let it sit for a couple of hours and none leaked through the valves, so I threw it together and had NO issues what so ever. I ride twice a week doing motocross and burn about 2.5 tanks of gas per week. I rev the piss out of it too. Very good valves APE!
