Is this normal for a lightbulb?

Recommended Posts

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. The headlamp is burned out, but the filament is sticking to the side of the glass, as if it popped or something. I thought that when a light bulb burns out, the filament just breaks? The reason I ask is because I've heard of voltage problems with the headlights on the YFZ450's, where it will give the bulb too much power and the bulb will pop. So I would like to know if this is normal or not for the bulb to do this when it burns out before I buy new bulbs and possibly waste them. Also, they were like this when I bought the quad and I never bothered replacing them, so I don't know if there was an audible pop or not.
