KLR 600 starting probs

Hi all just want some advised, got my KLR 600 running. I knew one of the bolts on rocker cover did not hold a good thread, Anyway gave it a bit revs and the bolt flew out with alot of oil. since then it want start. with this bolt coming out would that stop it from starting or could other damage be caused.I know its hard to comment with minimal info, would it be losing compression????????

any suggestions appreciated

the bolt in question would not stop it starting unles it has caught something on the coil check for a spark rest the spark plug in the head and see if it sparks. the bolt that holds the rocker cover on just screws in to the head its common for people to over tighten this bolt to stop leaks rather than replace the rubber gasket

If it's the front bolt closes to the fan on the top cover, check the small spring on your kacr and the functioning of the mechanism itself. Remove the cam/rocker top cover
