Husky in Baja

Recommended Posts

I saw this on the entry list, but it didn't list the model. Pretty freaking awesome!!!! I recall someone saying "Husky needs to work on their dependability before they try Baja". I know this wasn't a factory effort, but awesome nonetheless.

Not a bad showing for privateer teams... especially considering both teams were riding Huskys without any factory support..

If I'm not mistaken both teams did it on 2009 Husqvarna 510s.

Keep it boys.

CRF sweep. So much for the "terrible" honda reliability reported here. Dependability was never really questioned with the Legacy twincam Huskies, very robust motor! I think the dependability quote was more in reference to the 449/511 platform?

Actually I think the 449/511 would do well down in Baja.... only problem is no one took the interest to do baja here in the states on the 449/511.

Why?.... ummmm not going there.... but the 449 and 511 are being used extensivly in African long distance rallys and they're doing it on pretty close to stock bikes... click on this link and find photos of 449s and 511s being used somewhat stock in these events: http://xoffroad.dueruote.it/rt_enduro/GALLERY.cfm?codice=367518&pagina=413933&codfoto=376236&canaleuscita=-1
