Stroker clearance issue ?

Question re the following setup

Hotrods 4mm stroker crank and Athena BB kit.

Does this setup require a cylinder spacer and/or clearancing of the piston ?

no both but you need to make sure the rod clears the counter balancer.

No, I'm still using a relatively new CW BB kit and standard Hotrods crank. Happy with that.

I friend of mine installed the Athena BB kit and Hotrods 4mm crank on a very low hour DRZ of his.

It now has a lot of aluminum filings in the engine oil.

His next step is strip and inspect so I was just asking ahead for possible causes.
