Running lean? HELP

Recommended Posts

I just put a new piston in my SSR 125, and now I believe my bike is running lean. It has that poppy exhaust on deceleration and shoots flames out of the exhaust. I am assuming I have to rejet my carb, currently I have the stock keihin carb on there, do they make aftermarket jets for stock carbs or do I have to upgrade to a mikuni? Any help would be appreciated!

Adjust your fuel screw.

its running to rich, exhaust poppin means excess fuel in the pipe when letting off throttle the fuel air charge is pushed out the exhaust and the next exhaust stroke ignites the fuel charge thus giving you a "pop" or flame.
