skid plate options? 03 250r

never used one in the past, but recently bought a new oem frame for my 03 250r , and thought now would be the time to protect it. I really only ride loamy mx tracks,and need protection from rocks getting kicked up, so Im thinking something light with a drain hole.. any ideas?

I run a DeVol guard that has a drain hole and comes around to protect the waterpump. DeVol products are excellent quality

Take this for what its worth because I ride both...mx tracks and trails.

When I was looking for a skid plate, I had two main things I was looking for

1) A good drain hole (not only for trans oil, but for washing so mud/rocks don't just sit there and have no where to go)

2) As much protection as possible, including "wings" that come up and protect the sides of the cases. This was more for trails, but in my opinion the weight difference had to be minimal and worth it.

Check out the CYCRA plastic skid plate / I got one for

my 2006 CR250 / good for MX , bit you may want something with more protection for off-road , like the Devol

Hyde racing makes an awesome space age plastic skid plate with full protection for frame as well as engine cases. its light, fits very snug to the bike, good drain plug access and because its plastic, it wont interfere with the frames ability to flex as its intended. also it doesn't amplify engine noise as aluminum ones can.

i put one on my '03 CR250 and love it, the most protection i have seen from a skid plate for this bike

Thanks for the suggestions, I like the basic cycra plate, but there was also a carbon fibre works plate that looks really nice, a little $teep.. But looks like a quality plate.

I would reccomend a Works Connection Glide Plate, simple, quality materials, and good protection for MX tracks.
