Depends on what state you are in. Some states its easy to get a bike plated and in others, it's more difficult. Do a little research. Your DMV office probably has details.

At a minimum, you will need to add a headlight and tailight with a brake light. If you ride at night, you will need turn signals. Most places require a small horn and rear view mirror. You will have to add a handlebar switch and brake light switches on the rear brake pedal and font brake lever.

The easiest way to do it is to buy a complete kit from a place like Baja Designs. But, that will be most expensive. Check the major on-line retailers like RockyMountainATV for kits or individual components. The stock stator can't supply enough current for real bright headlights, but it does well enough for the low power ones. Might want to install a Battery Tender to keep the battery fully charged.

Also, most folks who use the 230F for dual sport street use will raise the gearing with a 14 tooth front sprocket.
