2001 RM 250 Died.

Recommended Posts

I was racing this past weekend. the bike was running a+ shape:ride:, After the race i went to pull my bike up on my truck and it died. Once i got home i changed plugs to make sure that wasnt it and i noticed i was not getting any fire:foul:. So i checked my mag and it checked to be fine, the coil also checked out fine. My only guess would be that the cdi burnt out. Is there any way to test the cdi? Also, does anybody have a 2001 rm 250 cdi they would sell? I have already checked, a new cdi is $540 from suzuki and i dont have that kind of money to spend right now.

you can just bring it to your local suzuki dealer to check it. Second option would be to look on ebay. I had an 03 rm250 with a similar problem. I ended up taking the stator plate off and one of the wires actually was broken on the back of the plate headed up to the cdi box. So all I had to do was resolder and shrinkwrap it and it was all set, saved me about 300 bucks!
