well, it runs on a gas and oil mixture...you need to know that

it has a powerband

not for a beginner rider, very throttle sensative, especially at higher rpm, powerband area. If ridden slowly, keep spare plugs around, other than that, great bikes. I currently have 6 in my garage.

Like others said they are great little bikes. My nephew has one and he learned the hard way what the power band was like on this little ripper. He came from riding a 01 crf80 .

Cheap to repair when needed. Has all the power for small guys that aren't ready for a 125 just yet.

What about sag rate since these bikes only have 10" of travel rather than 12". What is recommended for an 85lb rider? Is it still between 90 to 100mm's?

I mix mine at 32:1 as well. I run sag at 80mm. Depending on the rider you could go more or less sag by a couple mm.

For the tranny fluid, a good synthetic 10w40 is recommended. Change it frequently. Since it only takes barely 1/2 quart its cheap insurance.

Your gonna need a new crank assembly soon enough. I just pulled my son's apart and the rod bearing was missing it's needles...no idea where they went but they were gone and required a new crank assembly.

Are you talkin about the small end of the crank arm?
