98' YZ 125 cold weather jetting

Recommended Posts

going riding tomorrow, temps suppose to be around the 40-50F range. I have a stock 98' YZ 125 with all stock jetting in it. Should I fatten up the main? I am assuming no because factory is fat to begin with. besides no way to get a larger main jet today as it is thanksgiving.

thanks for the help.

You should be good with stock jetting at those temps... you should be able to adjust enough with the Air screw to keep it running crisp. However IDK that I would ride without fattening up the main if it gets any colder.

whats your altitude? If you start the bike and revs really high you probably need to go bigger on the pilot.
