X-light motor Bigbore ?????

Recommended Posts

I dont think anyone makes a bolt on big bore.

I just made a 2010 txc250 into 310 with oem parts from husqvarna.

Had to get a crank, piston, cylinder, head bolts, cam chain and cam chain guides.

Didn't get a chance to ride it yet.

Wow, how much did that cost? I wonder if you can make a 2012 TC250 with the new head into a 310.

wonder about putting a 310 piston in the 250.just the piston .any one try it?dan

The 310 cylinder is taller and bigger bore and the crank is a longer stroke.

i know the stroke is longer and the cyl is taller.i am wondering about taking a 250 cyl and having it bored and then replated to fit a 310 piston kit.use the 310 head gasket .some thing like a 280 would be the result off the top of my head...if it can be done.that would cost about $600 for gaskets, piston kit and the boring/plating.dan

George mentioned yesterday that he was going to check it out and see how much meat is there and maybe make a 270 or 280 kit, whatever could work. He sold 4 new bikes this week, 2 125's and 2 TE 310's so he's been a little busy but who knows.

Forgot to mention that I had to bore the cases for the 310 cylinder.

There may not be much cyl wall thickness if you were to bore the 250 cyl.

I should have checked all that stuff before putting it back together.
