'03 CR 125 Spinning Basket

Compression is very low. Say about 90 psi ? About to order top end kit.

The actual kick lever is able to be pushed completely through with barely any force. Is this all due to the compression?

So if the clutch basket is spinning so easily, besides compression could it be anything else, like replacing the entire crank assembly? Ideas? ?

Right but is there anything else it could be. I was told by a close friend that it has a new top end. So I really want to believe him. But I guess maybe he did something wrong or we have a bigger problem.

I am just figuring out where besides the top end that I am losing compression or if it is something else completely.

new top end

yeah good one. if it is over 15hrs old, time to rering the piston at least. Also cylinder to piston tolerances could be out of spec also. So just installing a new piston would not solve that problem.

Point being, time to tear down the top end. Measure clearances and clean the power valves.

alot of people seem to think that "new top end" only referes to a piston kit lol alot of time they never re work the cylinder, if the cylinder has worn go for an over size piston, prox or what ever
