Is there something I need to adjust?

Recommended Posts

So I posted last week about my KX250. I asked about my air screw if that would effect torque. Well I had the chance to take my bike out today and really ride some trails. I have noticed that when I am just sitting with the clutch in, the bike idles great. If I rev with the clutch in or in neutral, it revs perfect. When I let out on the clutch (in gear), it feels like it almost bogs a bit. Like I usually clutch in then rev just to make sure it doesn't do this. Is this normal? I was also riding through a lot of puddles today, some which were fairly deep but I doubt this could have anything to do with it. Like I said in my previous thread, I am still getting used to riding a 2T so I apologize for the noob question haha. Thanks guys.

Sounds like it might be lean on the pilot circuit.

It could be a clogged or too small of pilot jet or air screw out too far.

Try turning the air screw in a little at a time and see if that makes a difference.

If it runs better at less than 1.5 turns out on the screw, try a bigger pilot jet.
