What do you mean race prepping? What needs to be changed?

Find a set of bars you like, tires that you like. Check that the suspension isn't too soft for you. Gear it differently if required. Make sure it is serviced, and race.

This is my old 80 with a 82 465 front end but i think the 83 had dual brake pulls on it, much better braking.

that is a sweet looking bike!

I bought mine for $300 it is missing the air box. the front brake is not good at all there is something wrong with it. Had a bad crank seal and clutch. Comp on top end was 160 psi. I replaced the clutch and seals and she runs good. Needs suspension and a fresh set of plastics. My plan is/was get it to run right install the clutch and see what it was like. I took it to the desert last weekend to see just what it would do. The motor clutch and handling was good. Its workable for vet style local tracks now I want to freshen up the suspension, wheels, bearings etc and plastics.

Someone decided to powered coat the frame purple LOL
