New to me 07 DRZ400SM

Recommended Posts

I just got out of the garage, been cleaning a DRZ. I bought it from Mike Dana you may know him from this sight, Supermoto Junkie and PNW. He built this bike to ride at his local track and back and forth to work. He started with a new 07 drz400sm, went 434 APE big bore/ JE 13:1 piston/ E model base gasket/Hot Cams stage 1 cams/MRD/SSW full system/39mmm FCR flat slide/APE mcct/and a few other things. He put on 465 miles and decided to sell it. Thats where I come in. Got a good deal and a low miles bike with everything I would want to do to it. Thanks Mike. pic to follow

Very clean and looks to have a nice collection of goodies on it already..

May I suggest some side case covers TT’s or the ones from Ebay, both work well.

And check the back side of the shifter to see if it was rounded over..

Then if you’re not sure they have been done, consider doing the suite of reliability MODs, commonly referred to as the “LocTite Fixes” plus free power MOD.

Mike did those already, he was very thorough with everything he did.

My question is this: did any of the mods that made sense for racing the bike make it in any way less dependable or durable for street riding?
