Recommended Posts

both are FCR40mm units.

jetting like the needle is going to be the biggest difference. Im sure some of the jets maybe different from the factory also like the AP leak jet and diaphram.

if you are going to do a carb swap the tps sensor plug is different. you will have to use your tps sensor out of your bike, install it on the new carb and re-calibrate it. not too hard.

Or can't he get the wiring harness and stator to match and be set? It will actually be an upgrade as well.

it is possible but i dont know where those wires from the tps go to. i am thinking they go to the cdi module under the front plate. whichever the case, it is pretty easy to do the carb swap but keep the tps off of the old carb so you dont have any probs with the wire harness and connectors. i remember when i swapped my 05 carb for an 06 i had to swap the tps and i found all the info here on tt in the intake and jetting forum.
