TE 310 front axle

Recommended Posts

You will have troulble finding the 12mm.

Alternatives.

2 6mm hex can do in an emergency...

Buy a rlacement 15 mm axle nut from Uptite in Stainless (1 714 540-2920) or an anodized aluminum one from Cafe Husky (actually a Motosportz item) along with the nice axle wrench that fits front and rear.

I got a set of hex wrenches with the 12 but you won't find much use for them above the 10 normally.

I had originally bought a single 12mm Alen socket at the local hardware store for about $4.00 and that worked fine and obviously was pretty easy to find.

Then I figured I would at some point find myself in a situation where I would forget that socket at home or loose it and need to remove my wheel. So I felt blingly and bought the <<< Zipty Axel Nut >>>- which uses a 3/8" square drive (socket wrench)- which is overly common and conveinient-

Here's what I did:

Motion Pro T-6 27mm combo lever

Motion Pro T-6 12/13mm combo lever

This Motion Pro 3/8" drive adapter fits into the 27mm axle tool

With these I can remove the rear axle nut, front axle nut, rim lock bolts, change a tire and drive any 3/8" socket. The T-6 levers are really lightweight.
