Need a Favor - Anyone got an H model KDX and some Digital Calipers

Recommended Posts

Trying to get a GPR "bolt-on tower post" that will fit my "H" model KDX.

I've done a fork swap.

GPR said send them the head diameter and they will cross reference it for me.

Do any of you guys have some calipers and can measure the exterior width of the KDX's head.... where the bolt-on tower post will go?

Make sense?

I really appreciate it

I would be a little suspicious of the numbers you get on the net. If the person that gives them to you doesn't know how to use a set of calibers your in trouble. In your case you got lucky from what I have seen, I think Sean knows how to work a set of calibers:moon:

no problem, and it's spelled calipers . I thing the tube is 55mm stock and the paint makes up the 0.118.

Slight update for the curious.

GPR says they don't make a bolt-on tower/post that will fit the KDX. Their reason is that there is not enough clearance between the head and the tank.

Trying to figure out if a weld-on post will fit. They are supposed to be sending me the "thickness" measurement of a weld on post. I would think that the GPR weld on post would fit.

From the Scotts website I see that they have a post that will fit. Heck, I wonder if a Scotts post will fit a GPR's "arm" ?
