help JETTING my drz

I want to jet my dr-z400S but Im not sure which jets i should buy. the bike has the rs2 yoshi full exhaust system and K&Nair filter; I mainly use it on freeways.

*A friend of mine told me i should put a 170 main jet and a Pilot 42. any other suggestions?:lol:

james dean kit......im assuming you have the stock bsr carb

starting point....what elevation you at?

155/160? main

25 pilot/stock fuel screw 2.75 turns out

JD blue needle 4th clip from top

Do 3x3 mod....

For near sea level with open pipe..

#160 main jet

jd blue

clip 4

22.5 pilot jet with extended screw or 25 pilot jet with stock screw

2.75 turns

Thank you for your help, I'm going to do the 3x3 mod and jet it as you said;

Im just wandering, will the affect my mpg much? for example if i get 50 mpg right now how much will I get after this mods?:lol:

Fuel consumption will vary...The factory jetting is usually on the lean side...

When installing a jet kit we are correcting this leanness,thus some small increase in fuel consumption can occur...

Also because the bike goes better there is tendency to twist the right hand a little more.:lol:
