Kx134 jetting

Recommended Posts

When I rebuild my motor on my 2001 Kx125, I'm going to get a 134cc bore and porting from Kustom Kraft. From what I've heard you don't need to re-jet the carb at all. Is this true? Has anyone had any experience with a Kx134 bore? It already seems on the verge of being too lean as-is, (last time it seized from stock jetting). And what about for dunes? I know I definitely need to go richer for dune riding, but how much?

Thanks

Never heard of Kustom Kraft, but I can guarantee it will need jetted. Most kits will have a recommendation of jetting. If not, I would be very careful the first time you run it and buy alot of plugs, assortment of jets (richer of course) and be prepared to do some R&D.

You said it seized from a lean condition on stock jetted once already???? that's weird because the stock jetting is extremely rich on a 125. Most I've seen had to be leaned considerably. Now, maybe the point being that the 134 , having a stock jetting is actually the correct setting for the 134 setup.

Kind of like my sons 100. Stock jetting was way too rich. Once I did the 103 stroker, stock jetting was perfect. So this may be the case.
