Recommended Posts

http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y210/Supertrunk/Suspension%20Post/?action=view&current=DisassembledForkCap-1.jpg

The reb adjuster stuck in its position so I have to disassemble the unit the check whats going on.

thx!

With the fork cap off. Pry the black adjuster knob off.

Carefully watch for those little bearings to fly out. Then screw the threaded piece down through the cap.

How am I suppost to put this together properly?

With some grease or dry?

The adjuster rod and the inner surface of the damping rod are full of dirt and scrats too.

Yeah use some grease this will also hold the bearings on the install..

The way those look your going to have to pull the rebound needle and spring out. I am sure from the looks of things it is probably stuck.( normal For ktm)

Clean all that up, grease the needle and the reb rod.

The reason the reb rods gets like that ( other than the lack of service) is you don't put oil in the damping rod like the KYB or Showa. Just use a light film of grease on it.
