Eric Gorr YZ 125 BIGGER CC question!!

Recommended Posts

My YZ is already a 144, so plus a 58mm stroker crank plus 144 big bore piston = ?????

Is that the 155 or 167  Im a gonna build me something this winter :) Cant wait til spring!! :banghead:

How's the crank and piston life?

Has the extra power caused any transmission or clutch issues?

Seems like with extra torque, the clutch would actually take less abuse (like a 250)

Is the 155 piston the same off the shelf part as the 144?

What about the connecting rod kit, is it an off the shelf or common part?

Depending on how aggressively the 144 was built - sometimes the stroking without any cylinder mods is worse for power.

But if the 144 was keep somewhat close to stock timings - the stroking (just by virtue of the math) can unlock some power via timing changes....

Im gonna likely need to send the whole thing.. Cases require some mods according to E Gorr's site.. I also need a shift fork (or two) replaced.. Might as well just send the works if Im gonna do anything.. RIP!!!!
