i got the carb off of a drz400e, also i forgot to add that i am at around 2000ft

The listed jetting should be ok for 2K ft....

I would remove the Coast Enrichener as well..

The coast enrichener richens the fuel mixture on deceleration to prevent backfiring...It's basically an air cut off valve that relys on engine vacuum..

The CE over time tends to become inconsistent..It can stick, the rubber deteriorates and can cause jetting issues...

It's excess clutter that your carb can live without...

So after you unbolt it ,Join the 2 ports on the carb with a left over piece of hose and cap the port on the head...http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/318/img1924arrow2oi2.jpg

If it has any bogging issues do the Eddie Mod...http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=890079&highlight=eddie+mod

To make easier pilot circuit tuning I recommend you install a R&D Flex Jet remote fuel screw..http://shop.thumpertalk.com/catalogs/Parts_Unlimited_Offroad_2009/default.asp?p=817

ok i changed the main from a 142 to a 155 all the other jets where right

also when checking the jets i found that their is another jet (65) beside the main (155) and pilot (45). what is the name for this jet and what should it be?

so now my jetting is

main 155

pilot 45

beside pilot 60

main air 200

the other air 60

the needle is in the 4th notch from the top and has (obdx) written on the side of the needle is this what you guys call (EMN)?

You would be talking about the starter jet ..leave as is..

The OBDXP is the stock needle that is installed and the OCEMN is the recommended Keihin replacement needle..

OK so i have every thing done now. the bike seems to start and run great. there is a small dead spot when cracking on it in lower rpm, but i believe they say that the eddie safety wire fix on the carb. also i noticed that the header is glowing read near the exhaust port is this normal? or do i need to adjust jetting?
